Speaker Biographies
Solange Mukamurenzi
Solange Mukamurenzi works at the Ministry of Education (Rwanda) as the National Coordinator of Rwanda Development Gateway Group (RDGG), an ICT project. She coordinates and monitors the implementation of the activities by the RDGG Centers namely the Regional ICT Training and Research Center; the Rwanda Development Gateway; and the Center for Geographic Information System and Remote Sensing.
She has seven years of experience: one year in the Computer Science Department at the Kigali Institute of Science and Technology; and six years on an ICT-related project. Ms. Mukamurenzi served as a Vice Chairperson for the Board of Directors of the Rwanda Information and Technology Authority (RITA) since for one year; and she is currently the Vice Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Regional Technology Development and Innovation Center (RTDIC) since April 2010. She holds a B.Sc. degree from Kigali Institute of Science and Technology and earned her M.Sc. degree in Computer Science and IT from St Andrews University in Scotland.
Prior to joining RDGG in 2005, she worked for the Computer Science Department at the Kigali Institute of Science and Technology in Kigali, Rwanda. She also worked as the Manager of the Regional ICT Training and Research Center.
